King Parrot: An Interview with Slatts Everyday

Australian grindcore masters King Parrot returned to North America this summer to kick it with a solid month of tour dates. Their first appearance on the continent since 2018 saw them headlining clubs in between support slots for the mighty Pantera.
King Parrot’s enigmatic style is anchored by Slatts Everyday, who delivers brutal bass lines with an unmistakable stage presence.
We caught up with Slatts before his performance at Jiffy Lube Live with Pantera to get the scoop on the tour, how King Parrot connected with Philip Anselmo, his bass gear, and touring advice.
In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more.
