Carrtoons Releases “Saturday Night”
Back in 2020, Carrtoons (aka bassist/producer Ben Carr) released Saturday Morning. He followed that up with Homegrown in 2022, and now he’s come full circle with a new album called Saturday Night.
“I put everything I have into this one,” he wrote on Instagram. “The third part of a trilogy. The final part of an amazing chapter of my life. Please share with someone you love, and enjoy.”
Saturday Night continues Carr’s bass-forward blend of jazz, R&B, and soul with a retro vibe. He’s joined by a cast of guest artists including Haile Supreme, Reuben James, Joanna Teters, Rae Khalil, Jay Prince, Bad Snacks, Jak Lizard, Topaz Jones, Yoh, Julia Zivic, and Mia Gladstone.
