Christian McBride Launches New Radio Show

Christian McBrideJazz bass legend Christian McBride will be hosting a new weekly radio show on Sirius XM’s Real Jazz channel. The show, entitled “The Lowdown: Conversations with Christian,” premieres today at 1 PM ET.

The format of the show takes place on stages in jazz clubs around the country while McBride interviews and performs with special guests. The first episode features pianist Chick Corea, and was recorded at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in New York City.

“I’m not only excited about being able to expose other facets of my personality, but also exposing different facets of the many diverse guests who will appear on the SIRIUS XM show,” says McBride. “Imagine hearing Chick Corea talk about football and to hear Angelique Kidjo imitating a New York cab driver, and hearing Bill Charlap RAP! I mean, this show’s special – if I must say so myself.”

The Lowdown: Conversations with Christian will air every Saturday at 1 pm ET on the Real Jazz channel on Sirius XM radio. For more, visit Christian McBride’s website.
