Foo Fighters Announce U.S. Tour Dates

Foo Fighters: Wasting LightThe Foo Fighters, anchored by bassist Nate Mendel, has announced a U.S. tour spanning September in support of their latest effort, Wasting Light. The album is is their first in four years, following 2007’s Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. Mendel says the new record has the group getting back to basics.

“The last couple of albums in particular, we were making a conscious effort to expand the sound of the band, and that was a good thing to do and something that we really needed to do because you can’t continue to make the same record over and over again,” he told NewsOK. “If we tried to replicate The Colour and the Shape every time we made a record, we probably wouldn’t still be doing this. I’m really proud of it, and I think it stands up with anything we’ve ever done.”
