Stone Roses Working on New Album

Stone Roses

After reuniting in 2011, it looks like The Stone Roses have a new album in the works. Bassist Gary “Mani” Mounfield revealed the news to Amelia Ward of the blog Gigslutz.

“When posed with the question regarding new material, Mani said “Yeah we’ve been working on a few bits” and when asked about a new album release he stated, “2015 man, 2015!,” the blog reports.

The band, which broke up in 1996, only produced two studio albums during their career with their last album, Second Coming released in 1994. A new film entitled The Stone Roses: Made of Stone will be released this month documenting the group’s reunion with concert footage from their world tour last year.
