Yolanda Charles: NAMM Bass Bash 2014

One of the great hangouts during the annual NAMM show is the Bass Bash held at JT Schmid’s in Anaheim. This year was no exception as players ranging from the great Uriah Duffy to Ethan Farmer to Snarky Puppy all laid it down to a crowd of bass fanatics.

Here’s one of our favorite videos taken from the two night event. Yolanda Charles threw down on the second night, and luckily someone caught it on video. This montage of Charles’s set includes her bandmates Nicolas Viccaro, Rob Harris and Michael Lecoq.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
