Focusrite Announces The iTrack Dock Recording Interface

Focusrite iTrack Dock Recording Interface

Focusrite has introduced the iTrack Dock, a recording interface for the Apple iPad. The device is fitted with dual microphone inputs, two line inputs, an instrument DI, independent stereo monitor and headphone outputs, and a USB port for use with MIDI controllers.

The iTrack Dock’s mic pres are the same found in their Scarlett range of USB interfaces and include 48V phantom power to run condenser microphones. It can operate at up to 24-bit, 96kHz sample rates and offers a 105dB dynamic range.

Besides converting your music, the interface works with any Core Audio apps from Garageband to Cubasis and more. Its built-in Core Audio driver means that no special setup is required.

The Focusrite iTrack Dock works with any Lightning-equipped iPad, including the 4th generation iPad, the iPad Air, iPad Mini and the iPad Mini with retina display. It’s expected to ship at the end of June with a street price of $199.99.
