Bootsy’s Rubber Band: Another Point of View, Live 1976
We’re going old school today with a clip of Bootsy Collins and his Rubber Band in concert from 1976. Taken from their concert at the Summit in Houston, Texas, the video has Bootsy and the gang getting down on “Another Point of View.”
The performance came just two months after the release of the bassist’s debut solo album, Stretchin’ Out in Bootsy’s Rubber Band, and you can feel how fresh the band is playing. Bootsy’s infectious energy will have you ready to dance.
In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. Love the hair! Can you dig it!!
I saw Bootsy open for Parliament in 1976. His Space Bass had been stolen and he was playing a Jazz. The man can play some decent bass while talking and singing.
