Morning Bound: Want For Nothing, Live at BAMCafe

Morning Bound is one of my favorite trios. Anchored by bassist Panagiotis Andreou, the band has a very singular sound. It’s hard to pinpoint their genre, and I love that.

Here’s a live clip from BAMCafe where the band, including vocalist extraordinaire Tammy Scheffer and drum guru Ronen Itzik, perform “Want for Nothing” from their self-titled EP. Andreou holds down chords on his 6-string bass as his bandmates bring in a subdued and personal groove. The vocalist and bassist both utilize looper pedals to bring the song to a sublime climax.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
