Jimmy Herring Band: Matt’s Funk

I rediscovered this video by Jimmy Herring Band over the weekend and watched it many times. The entire band just brings it on “Matt’s Funk,” which is a tune by the organ player, Matt Slocum.

Neal Fountain was part of Jimmy’s touring band at that time, and he lays down a tasty line.
