Accept Announces New Bassist

Martin Motnik

Veteran heavy metal outfit Accept has announced a new bassist to fill out their ranks since founding member Peter Baltes left in November. Martin Motnik has been named as the group’s full-time bass player.

Motnik has played with several bands between the United States and his home country, Germany. His credentials also include three tours with guitar legend Uli Jon Roth.

“We were overwhelmed and honored by the musicians who auditioned for the open position,” guitarist Wolf Hoffmann said. “The level of talent we saw was unprecedented, and we believe Martin Motnik is a perfect fit as he’ll be joining us for the ‘Symphonic Terror’ tour and upcoming Accept shows.”

Motnik will make his debut with Accept on a tour of Germany, Ukraine, Russia, and Bulgaria.
