Mike LeDonne Releases New Album with Christian McBride
Organist Mike LeDonne has released a new trio album called Partners in Time with Lewis Nash on drums and Christian McBride on bass. Recorded at the Van Gelder Studio, the album ranges from traditional straight-ahead swing to modern style jazz.
In addition to his remarkable solos, McBride has several feature spots on the album including an exploratory intro to “Saud.” In fact, the opening track is a bass feature on “Lined With A Groove,” originally penned by the bassist’s late mentor, Ray Brown.
Partners in Time is available now on CD and as a digital download (iTunes and Amazon MP3).
