Taylor Adds Koa Version of GS Mini-e Bass

Taylor has expanded its GS Mini line with a new bass model. The GS Mini-e Koa Bass sports the same scaled-down body and string length as its maple predecessor but utilized layered Hawaiian koa for the back and sides as well as a solid piece of koa for the top.
The bass has a miniature 23.5-inch scale – a full 10.5 inches shorter than a standard size bass. Its ebony fingerboard has 20 frets and the bass comes with specially formulated nylon-core strings. Taylor also fits the bass with an ES-B pickup/preamp combo that includes a built-in chromatic tuner.
The Taylor GS Mini-e Koa Bass will be available soon with a price point of $899.
