Steve Bailey and Victor Wooten Host Chick Corea Tribute Webinar

The world lost one of its best musicians this month when Chick Corea passed away from cancer at 79 years old. Now, the Berklee Bass Department is paying tribute to him with a webinar called “Chick Corea: Rhythm, Life, and Melody”.
Hosted by Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey, the roundtable discussion will include an amazing roster of musicians that performed alongside the late keyboardist.
“Chick Corea has had a profound effect on so many lives and our tribute to this Master will illuminate that it goes way beyond Music,” the description states. “Some of his Rhythm Mates sit down to reflect, remember, laugh, cry, and look back in time, and forward to the future.
Join, Lenny White, Ron Carter, Eddie Gomez, Steve Gadd, Anthony Jackson, John Patitucci, Dave Weckl, and Carlitos Del Puerto… who have helped shape Chick’s musical legacy from the 1960’s until today.”
The webinar is scheduled for Friday, February 26th at 1 pm Eastern. It is free and open to the public, but you must register ahead of time via the Berklee online Zoom campus.
