Bass of the Week: Ritter Instruments R8 Acoustic

Jens Ritter’s basses always blow me away, and this R8 Acoustic model is no different. The four-string bass is crafted from solid red cedar with a maple neck and ebony fingerboard, which is adorned with oval ring inlays.
Ritter fits the R8 with his own Triplebucker and Slimbucker pickups as well as a Ritter C-3-S RMC active/passive 3-band preamp. Weighing in at just 6.82 pounds, this is a lightweight beauty with loads of tone.
