The past two years have been tough, but Freekbass has been determined to make the best of it. The funk bassist has been live streaming on Twitch, posting tutorial videos on Facebook, and making music with fellow players like Doug Wimbish, Billy Sheehan, and Karina Rykman.

He’s kicked off 2022 with a new EP called Krameria, and now he’s gearing up for his first multi-date tour since the beginning of the pandemic. We caught up with Freekbass to get the full scoop, from how he got his name to three under-appreciated funk bass lines that everyone should know.
