No Treble reader Maarten Plukker shared this ambitious arrangement with us, saying, “About four years ago, I recorded my re-interpretation for Jaco Pastorius’ ‘Okonkole Y Trompa.’ Instead of using the harmonics, I played regular notes in the same fingering position, added chords, A droning low D and a 16th note pattern in 4/4 while looping the 10/8.”
