Matt Ramsey: Live Looping Improv and Bass Solo
Today we’re checking out another video from the new Gallien Krueger Studio Sessions. This time they’re back with Matt Ramsey, who stopped by the GK studio while on tour with Kirk Franklin.
Ramsey creates a gorgeous atmosphere with a looper that he then solos over to great effect. Incredibly, the clip is all one take and completely improvised.
In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast.
