Bass of the Week: Capurso Guitars Sniper Deluxe Six-String Bass

Capurso Guitars Sniper Deluxe Six-String Bass

This week we’re checking out a six-string Sniper Deluxe by Italy’s Capurso Guitars. The bass has a beautiful poplar burl top in a purpleburst finish that looks like a photo of a galaxy. That theme is reinforced by the alien head inlay on the multi-scale pale moon ebony fingerboard.

Capurso built the bass with a nine-piece neck of flamed maple, ash, purpleheart, and rosewood. It also has a tone block made from mahogany and purpleheart. This Sniper is completed with Nordstrand Big Single pickups, a Bartolini NTMB preamp, and a Hipshot bridge.

The purple burl looks great by itself! ~But that mismatched white and red inlay makes the whole bass look like a gaudy mess IMO… ~Ugh!!
