Dirty Logic: The Fez
Dirty Logic is an 11-piece Steely Dan tribute band based in Asheville that does The Dan justice. Bassist Jake Wolf shared a few videos from their recent performance at Sierra Nevada Brewing that prove it.
“The Fez” originally appeared on Steely Dan’s 1976 album The Royal Scam, with Chuck Rainey holding down the groove. Dirty Logic’s version opens things up to have Wolf trading solos with Garrick Smith on the baritone sax. Together, they build the energy up to the final chorus.
Beside his slick lines, check out Wolf’s tone!
