Alana Rocklin Brings the Groove to STS9’s “Chromalight”

STS9 is one of the most influential bands in the live electronic scene. The band’s incredible on-stage energy has been captured for a new album called Chromalight. Recorded at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, the performance was an exploration of “the synergy between sound and light.”
“On July 21 & 22, 2023, STS9 revealed ‘Chromalight’ at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado,” the band writes. “The multi-sensory production set out to explore the connection between sound and light, the colors we associate with musical notes and scales, and how we can tap into the power of the harmony between them to create an intentional and immersive live spectacle. This is the complete audio recording of the first ever live performance of STS9’s ‘Chromalight.'”
The fourteen new songs are anchored by the funky, bubbly bass lines of Alana Rocklin. Check out her syncopations and deep notes on “Searchlight”:
Chromalight is out now digitally via Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more. The band is continuing to tour throughout the year with dates all across the U.S.
