Transforming Tradition: Chris Labenne’s Innovative Guitar and Bass Take on “Carol of The Bells”

In the spirit of the holiday season, we are thrilled to share a special performance of the beloved Christmas tune, “Carol of The Bells.”

My friend Chris Labenne, a talented musician known for his innovative arrangements, has reimagined the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s iconic rendition (“Christmas Eve Sarajevo 12/24”) with his unique guitar and bass interpretation. In this cover, Labenne masterfully blends acoustic guitar with electric bass, infusing the song with gnarly fuzz and distortion on a Jazz bass.

This is one of my favorite Christmas tunes, and I couldn’t resist sharing this with you all.

Happy holidays from all of us at No Treble! We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season. Cheers!
