Envy of None Announces “Stygian Wavz” Album and Genre-Defying New Track

Back in 2022, fans were elated to hear about the band Envy of None, which marked guitar whiz Alex Lifeson’s first project post-Rush. The band is a sort of supergroup with producer Alfio Annibalini on keyboards, singer/songwriter Maiah Wynne on vocals, and Andy Curran of Coney Hatch on bass. The quartet is starting the year off right by announcing the followup to their 2022 self-titled debut.
Stygian Wavz, which will be released on March 14th, is described as “the sound of a band basking in the radiant glow of creative confidence and coming into their own” with “genre-splicing brilliance.” The band gave a small glimpse as to what that means with the release of a new single called “Stygian Waves”.
“This track is a favourite of all 4 EONs,” says Curran. “Despite the fact of the spartan lyrical content, this song features our sweet Maiah on lead vocals. Her harmonies and layers of vocals are literally symphonic! It’s hard to put a finger on what style or genre this one is… and we’re proud of that!”
Check out Curran’s hypnotic bass work on the track.
Stygian Wavz will be available on vinyl (black and colored), CD, digitally, and in a special deluxe boxset.
