Hypnotic and Genre-Bending: Elephant Stone’s Indian Psych Rock Shines in KEXP Session
I’ve said it many times: I love KEXP for musical discovery. Their latest batch of videos hit my radar, and I was intrigued by Elephant Stone.
The Canadian indie rock band, which includes Rishi Dhir on vocals/bass, Miles Dupire Gagnon on drums/backing vocals, Jason Kent on keys/guitar/backing vocals, and Robbie MacArthur, “combines Indian classical music and instrumentation with 1960s pop and rock.”
In this clip, they play a medley of “Darker Time, Darker Space,” “The Court and Jury,” and “Land of Dead Hollow Medley.”
I’m glad I stopped to check this band out.
