From Viral Covers to National Stages: Aneesa Strings Launches Tour Behind New EP “The Calm”

After releasing The Calm EP in March, Aneesa Strings is headed out on the road. The bassist, noted for her viral cover videos, will be sharing her music from one side of the country to the other over eight performances.
The run begins on May 22nd in Durham, North Carolina. She will appear at the Atlanta Jazz Festival on May 24th before heading out to the West Coast for the Newport Beach Jazz Festival in California. Aneesa will support Kem for two nights in June, followed by a show with The Baylor Project in Detroit, Michigan, on July 16th.
The Calm features Strings singing and playing both upright and electric bass. The music is a blend of jazz, R&B, and hip-hop. A good example of the EP is the song “All In My Mind,” which has a hypnotic, soulful groove.
“This song is all about believing in the vision in your mind and fighting through self-doubt to be your greatest self,” she states.
The Calm is out now digitally on Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more.
