Mudvayne Marks 25 Years of “L.D. 50” with Anniversary Tour Featuring Static-X and Vended

Mudvayne

When Mudvayne released L.D. 50 into the world 25 years ago, it pushed the burgeoning sound of nu metal to greater heights. The album was also a game-changer for metal bassists who took note of Ryan Martinie’s innovative use of slap and pop techniques into a heavy soundscape.

The band has announced a new tour to celebrate the album’s 25th anniversary. Fans can expect to hear Martinie tear through hits like “Dig,” “Death Blooms,” “Nothing To Gein,” and more.

They’ll be joined on the road by Vended (featuring Jeremiah Pugh on bass), and Static-X, who will also be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their album Wisconsin Death Trip. Tony Campos, who played on the record, is still a leading force in the band.

Until the tour kicks off in September, let’s relive the magic of the music video for “Dig”:
