Victor Wooten Returns With Béla Fleck and the Flecktones for West Coast Tour

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones are returning to the stage this year for a West Coast tour through California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The groundbreaking instrumental quartet continues on as the original lineup, which features Fleck on banjo, Howard Levy on harmonica and keys, Roy “Futureman” Wooten on percussion, and Victor Wooten on the bass.
The tour will begin on August 24th in El Cajon, California before heading to Los Angeles and Berkeley. Among the stops is one support slot for Dave Matthews Band in George, Washington at The Gorge Amphitheatre. Finally, they’ll wrap up in Ketchum, Idaho on September 1st. With former Flecktone Jeff Coffin playing for DMB, there’s a high likelihood of an epic sit-in. The group has alluded to fitting a few more concerts into their schedule, though they are yet to be announced.
Get ready for the tour by revisiting the Flecktones’ 2018 performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival. Wooten’s bass playing is top-notch, as always.
