Jérémie Coke Sets the Tone on Electro Deluxe’s Funky Big Band Performance of ‘Shame’

Jérémie Coke brings the pocket to the front in this killer live session from Electro Deluxe, locking down the low end on his baby blue Sandberg California 4 string. The tune is “Shame” and the band comes in swinging, but it’s Coke’s tone and feel that keep everything grounded.

He looks to be running through a Markbass head into an Ampeg cabinet. The tone is dialed in. Clear, punchy, and warm with just enough grit when it needs to speak up.

A 12 piece horn section brings serious weight to the arrangement. These aren’t just background players. They hit hard, fill space with precision, and push the energy up a notch. Coke stays right in the middle of it all, never overplaying, just serving the song with authority and taste.

It’s always a treat to see a player this locked in, especially with a band this tight.
