The Mars Volta is hitting the road this fall, and Eva Gardner is back in the bass chair. She shared the news on Facebook, writing, “I’m super excited to be back at it with [The Mars Volta].”

The band will play in Houston, Texas on October 28th before performing a Halloween show at The Fillmore in Miami Beach, Florida. The rest of the leg will take them up the East Coast and into Canada for a show in Toronto. They’ll then cut through the Midwest to cover the West, including five dates in California.

Gardner was the band’s original bassist and performed on demos and the EP Tremulant, though she left before their debut LP De-Loused in the Comatorium. Since then, she’s toured extensively with Pink, Cher, Moby, Gwen Stefani, and more. In 2021, she released her second solo EP, Darkmatter. Gardner rejoined the Mars Volta fold in 2022 when they returned with their first music in a decade. She also contributed to their latest album, Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del Vacio, which came out earlier this year.
