Seymour Duncan Refreshes Studio Bass Compressor for 2026 With Retro-Inspired Housing

Seymour Duncan has refreshed the Studio Bass Compressor pedal for 2026 with a new vintage-inspired housing. It retains the same functionality with a four-knob layout and mini-switch.
It has a Compression knob to dial in the effect, with an Attack knob to regulate how quickly the compressor reacts to your playing. Crucially, it has a Blend knob to mix your original signal in with the compressed signal. A Level knob sets the output. A three-way switch determines the pedal’s focus on Low, Full, or Mid frequencies.
“It determines the frequency content of the dry signal being blended in with the compressed signal. Using the Frequency switch and the Blend control, you can restore some of the dynamic range lost in compression and choose to be frequency selective or dial it in full range,” the manual explains.
