Our good friend Julie Slick shared a fantastic (and beautifully shot) new video by her band, Echotest. The tune, “The Drift,” is from the band’s second album, “Le Fil Rouge.”

If you have some time on your hands today, you’re in luck. Joe Dart made an appearance at Berklee for a bass clinic, and we now can watch the full event. Joe talks about Vulfpeck, music, playing with drummers, and plays throughout.

It has been a while since we’ve shared a video by Or Lubianiker. Thanks to our friends at BassTheWorld, we have a new one to check out. In this clip, Or is joined by banjoist Avital Tamir in a performance of “Deus Ex Makineta.” The combo is incredible.

Aaron Gibson’s “Horror Films and Sunday School” was among my favorite albums released in 2019. For years, Aaron has matched his incredible music with incredible videos, but this one might be the best one yet.

Zander Zon and Tommy Lee Depp got together for Zander’s “Pandora’s Bass” series, and put together quite a video. This one features not only some incredible tapping but also some great musicianship by both.

YYNOT released their second album, “Resonance,” in September. Here’s the video for “Bully,” the third track on the record and another one of the band’s originals. Tim Starace really brings the thunder on his Ric on this one!

Sharay Reed is all about groove. Here’s a new live clip by Cory Henry and the Funk Apostles, who perform “Love Will Find A Way” at the Resident in celebration of Cory’s birthday.

It is always fun doing these recaps of the reader favorite videos from the previous month. What struck me this time around was how much variety there was last month. Bass for the win!

We’ve featured a handful of clips from Sons Of Apollo’s 2018 live performance with The Plovdiv Psychotic Symphony. Here’s a clip from the show of the tune “God of the Sun,” with Billy Sheehan and the band rocking it out.

We’ve featured a handful of videos by guitarist Martin Miller, but none quite like this. In this clip, Martin is joined by Paul Gilbert in this live studio performance of Rush’s “YYZ.” Benni Jud drives some gnarly tone behind the band.

In October, Vulfpeck packed Madison Square Garden for a concert. The band has just announced a live album from the show, and a video to go along with it. Joe Dart shows another side on this, helping with the vocals in this intro of “Back Pocket.”

Here’s a great clip recorded during a 1993 rehearsal with Bootsy Collins and his band. It is cool to see Bootsy directing the group and playing his funky lines. Check out his reaction around the 4:05 mark to Bernie Worrell’s epic clavinet run.
