Band leader, composer, studio musician, educator, recording engineer, owner of Spirit Studio in Aiken, SC.

Mike is a highly sought after bass instructor, offering personal lessons locally, internet lessons nationally & internationally. He is an adjunct professor at University of South Carolina at Aiken and conducts jazz camps and clinics.

He has recorded and performed with many noteworthy musicians, including: Donald Vega, Wycliffe Gordon, Jimmy Bruno, Delfeayo Marsalis, Jorma Kaukonen, Jesse Colin Young, New York Voices, The Gypsy Kings, David Mann, Manolo Badrena, Todd Turkisher, Gregg Bissonette, John Scarpulla, John Miceli (Meatloaf) and Jules Radino (Blue Oyster Cult).

Mike has spent much of his career developing facility on the 6 string bass (starting in 1982), and now mainly relies on the 4 & 5 string and fretted basses. Mike has been using Clifford Roi basses for about 2 decades and is currently using Genzler amplification.
