It’s a sad day in the bass community. World-renowned bassist and educator Jim Stinnett has passed away after suffering a heart attack. The news was confirmed by his family via Facebook.

Bassist Charles Berthoud shared this video he recorded with New Hampshire Bass Fest founder and Berklee instructor Jim Stinnett. The song is Charles’ original composition “I Wanna Be…,” which features some sweet fretless lines by Stinnett on top of Berthoud’s tap bass foundation.
