Vulfpeck has just released their video for the tune, “Grandma,” which appears on their album, . The song offers up some silky smooth old school goodness, thanks in part to Joe Dart.

I received Vulfpeck’s Mr Finish Line on vinyl recently, and I’ve been spinning it ever since. Here’s the most recent video release for the track, “Business Casual.” I love the vocals on this one, and as always, the bass playing of Joe Dart.

Vulfpeck’s “Dean Town” is one of the all-time favorites around here. Outside of his incredible bass playing, no one knew much about Joe Dart. That changed in August when he sat down with Mitch to record episode #32 of Groove – the No Treble podcast. (That episode was the most popular of 2017 too.) And as always, Vulfpeck shared a healthy dose of videos over the year featuring Dart’s solid grooves....

I’m anxiously awaiting the new Vulfpeck record, Mr. Finish Line, which goes into production tomorrow. Thankfully, the band has offered up some of the music from the upcoming release, including this old school cool track, “Running Away.” Dig the sweet lines by bassist Joe Dart and the incredible David T. Walker.

To say I’m pumped about the upcoming Vulfpeck album would be an understatement. The band has released another video featuring a song from Mr. Finish Line, entitled “Hero Town.” Michael Bland guests (masterfully) on drums, with Joe Dart handling the bass, as always. Vulfpeck has announced their 2017 album, Mr Finish Line and released the first track from the upcoming release. This must be what living the dream looks like. Vulfpeck performed with drum legend Bernard Purdie at the Brooklyn Bowl in New York last year, which included this cover of Steely Dan’s “Kid Charlemagne,” a tune that originally featured Purdie. And it is obvious bassist Joe Dart was loving life.

Vulfpeck has released another video from their most recent album, The Beautiful Game. The track is “Animal Spirits,” with Theo Katzman “singing in a high voice,” and Joe Dart laying down the funky low end.
