I always love it when Cory Wong drops a new video. Joined by Alexander 23, here’s the band performing “On My Mind,” with Yohannes Tona on bass.

You have to hand it to DHL. They asked Cory Wong to “write a song that demonstrates the idea of ‘supply chain’.” Cory delivered an excellent, funky tune with the help of bassist Yohannes Tona, and some killer string and horn sections.

Cory Wong and his band visited the Sirius XM studios in New York City. Of course, they put on quite the performance, including some excellent bass work by Yohannes Tona.

It’s always a good day when a new Cory Wong drops, and this performance of “Team Sports” at Montreux Jazz Festival is killer. Yohannes Tona holds down some rock solid low end, and we need to give props to drummer Petar Janjic, too.

You may not know it, but modern funk guitar hero Cory Wong actually got his musical start on the bass. Wong has just returned with a new solo album called “The Lucky One,” featuring both his guitar and bass talents.
