Duff McKagan rumored to be writing and recording with Jane’s Addiction

Duff McKaganVelvet Revolver and ex-Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan is reportedly writing and recording with the group Jane’s Addiction, according to fan web site Xiola.org.

The news following a twitter post from original J.A. bassist Eric Avery, saying “fyi, to answer the question directly, i am not writing with janes addiction.”

Jane’s Addiction reunited with the original lineup in late 2008 after a 17-year break-up. The band had reunited briefly in 1997 and 2001, but Avery’s spot was filled in by Flea, Martyn LeNoble, and Chris Chaney.

No official announcement has come out from Jane’s Addiction, except a small post by singer Perry Farrell saying that the band had a new “writing partner.”
