Geddy Lee: New Rush Documentary (and Explanation for Not Playing at Olympics)
Rush recently announced a tour, as well as a new documentary, Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage. The film, produced by Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC on April 24, and will make its television debut on June 26th on VH1 and VH1 Classic.
In a recent interview with Philadelphia radio station 94 WYSP, bassist Geddy Lee shares about the tour, documentary, and explained why one of Canada’s most prominent bands did not perform at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
“Yeah, well, we had an opportunity to play, but there were all kinds of crazy rules going on about lip-synching and stuff like that. That’s just not our bag, man.”
