Bootsy Collins Dives Into The World Of Fine Art

Bootsy CollinsFunk master Bootsy Collins has announced his debut into the world of fine art. According to his new art website, the project is “the release of an art piece of which 300 drafts will exist, all numbered and signed.”

Bootsy said on his Facebook page that the work will be a “MASSIVE piece of art,” and that each piece will also be slightly different. Clues, hints, and other funk-a-facts will be released over the course of November through his art website up until the worldwide release date of December 1, 2010.

Artist is another role Bootsy has added to his growing resume. He became a “professor” earlier this year by opening Bootsy Collins’ Funk University. The website offers lectures, lessons, and discussions with some top names in the world of bass, including Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Bakithi Kumalo, and TM Stevens.
