Hal Leonard Releases Updated and Expanded “Bass Handbook”

The Bass Handbook: The Complete Guide to Mastering the Bass GuitarOriginally published in 2006, Adrian Ashton’s Bass Handbook: The Complete Guide to Mastering the Bass Guitar has been updated and expanded in a new edition published by Hal Leonard.

Featuring a forward by John Paul Jones, the 272-page book presents not only a history of the electric bass and information on how to buy a bass and all associated equipment, but also all the basics of reading music (tab and standard notation) playing in a variety of styles.

An 80-track CD with the book’s key exercises also comes with the book, which is bound so it opens flat so it can be used easily.
