Nuno Bettencourt, Paul Gilbert & Mike Szuter: Cupid’s Dead
We’ve featured some clips from “Guitar Wars” in the past, with John Paul Jones on bass.
Here’s another lineup from that performance, anchored by Mike Szuter. This group, which includes Nuno Bettencourt and Paul Gilbert, performed “Cupid’s Dead” as part of the show, complete with some nice grooves and some great unison lines thrown in too.

This was nice jamming , best in a while.
Nice Rickenbacker Red .
I could very well be mistaken; but isn’t this from one of the NAMM after parties? Regardless, good stuff! I prefer the original with Pat Badger. Mainly because the tempo isn’t slowed down. Great riff’n though, and the drummer is badass!
p.s They’re all badass!!!
Not too shabby : ) Nuno’s a beast !
