Fender Unveils the Limited Blu DeTiger x Player Plus Jazz Bass

Blu DeTiger with Fender Limited Blu DeTiger x Player Plus Jazz Bass

Fender has unveiled a new artist signature instrument with the Blu DeTiger x Player Plus Jazz Bass. The bassist worked with the company to modify the Player Plus Jazz to reflect her style and playing.

“This bass is a reflection of everything I love about playing,” said Blu DeTiger. “I wanted an instrument that could handle the diversity of sounds I create, from deep, funky grooves to melodic lines that cut through the mix. Fender and I worked closely together to make sure this bass not only looks amazing but sounds incredible in any setting.”

Finished in a Sky Burst Sparkle, the bass features a chambered lightweight ash body and a satin-finish maple neck fitted with a bound 9.5″ rosewood fingerboard. For electronics they created a custom Blue DeTiger Fireball bass humbucker in the bridge position with a Player Plus Noiseless Jazz Bass pickup in the neck position. An 18-volt Player Plus preamp offers a three-band EQ with an active/passive toggle for deep controls.

The Fender Limited Blu DeTiger x Player Plus Jazz Bass is available now for $1,599.99.
