Christian Olde Wolbers to Fill In On Overkill Tour
Overkill bassist D.D. Verni has been dealing with shoulder issues for the past year. The problem has forced him to sit out the band’s current run of North American shows supporting King Diamond. In his stead will be former Fear Factory bassist Christian Olde Wolbers.
“Blessed to Fill in for (D.D. Verni] on the [Overkill] Tour opening up for King Diamond in the US and Canada,” Olde Wolbers shared on Instagram. “Hope to see some of ya’ll out there on this run.”
Verni had shoulder surgery earlier this year and was forced to sit out of the band’s “Scorching Latin America 2024” tour. David Ellefson took his place in that instance.
According to vocalist Bobby Blitz, Verni will return to the tour once he has recovered. We’re wishing a speedy recovery to D.D. Verni.
