Laura Lee Lays Down the Groove with Her Signature Fender Jazz Bass in New Khruangbin Video

Fender just dropped a new Signature Sessions video featuring Khruangbin, and bassist Laura Lee is right at the center of it. The band sounds as locked in as ever, but it’s Lee’s bass work that really anchors the whole performance. Her tone is warm and round, her lines are minimal but heavy, and the pocket is as deep as it gets.

She’s playing her new signature Fender Jazz Bass, and it looks and sounds great in the mix. It’s a Vintage White beauty with DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups, concentric knobs, chrome hardware, and a custom U-shaped neck. All the details are based on her main touring bass, and it definitely has her vibe.

We featured the bass when it was first announced, but this is the first time we’re seeing it in action like this. If you’re a fan of laid-back grooves and bass playing that says a lot without saying too much, this one’s worth a watch.
