Mic Swings and Stack Knobs: Taking Back Sunday in Photos from Chicago & Tour Dates

Taking Back Sunday got the stage warmed up for Coheed and Cambria on August 19 at Huntington Bank Pavilion and wasted no time getting the crowd going. From the first note, it felt like everyone was all in. The band looked fired up and the fans were right there with them.

The set was packed with everything you’d hope for. They played the hits like “MakeDamnSure” and “Cute Without the ‘E’” and kept the energy steady from start to finish. Adam Lazzara’s stage presence was classic. Mic swinging. Pacing the stage. Locking in with the crowd like only he can.

Shaun Cooper held it down on bass with a killer early Fender Jazz reissue. Matching headstock. Stack knobs. Tight tone. It sat right where it needed to and gave the songs that extra weight underneath.

I had the chance to shoot the show and pulled together a gallery of photos from their set. Scroll down to check it out.  Tour Dates at the bottom.  All photos by Jody Miller
