Long-Lost NBC Studios Performance Captures David Goldflies Powering the Allman Brothers in 1981

This newly surfaced 1981 NBC Studios clip of The Allman Brothers Band is a great blast from the past with one of the greatest southern rock bands of all time.

Dickey Betts is front and center on Ramblin Man, relaxed and in control, while Gregg Allman adds his familiar weight on keys and vocals. It is a tight performance with stellar musicans in top form.  For bass players, the highlight is David Goldflies holding things down on an Alembic bass. The tone is clean and present, and the part is all about feel and support.
