Watch Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson Revisit “Working Man” With Chad Smith
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson teamed up with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith for a killer version of Rush’s “Working Man” in the recent documentary Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple.
Smith is always a blast to watch/hear and he really goes for it on this performance. He has plenty of respect for Neil Peart’s part but he also sounds like Chad Smith. Chad finishes the performance smiling and letting out a scream after giving it everything he had.
The footage is cut together with archival Rush clips and interview segments. No One’s Disciple also features Danny Carey, Stewart Copeland, and Gavin Harrison sitting behind the kit with Lee and Lifeson. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2026.
