Markbass Expands Yellow Series with MB5 Yellow JB 5-String Bass

Markbass has expanded its Yellow Series basses with the MB5 Yellow JB, a five-string version of the line’s J-style model. The new bass has a comfortable neck and retains the playability of its four-string predecessor, the company says.
“It maintains the iconic Markbass yellow finish that captures everyone’s attention, and it remains budget-friendly,” they share.
The bass features a poplar body, a maple neck, and a laurel fingerboard. Its simple layout includes a pair of single coils and passive electronics with a volume/volume/tone control configuration. Markbass includes a gig bag and strap with the bass.
The Markbass MB5 Yellow JB is coming soon. A price point is TBA, but the four-string version sits at $299, so we can assume it’s in that neighborhood.
