Neural DSP Introduces Darkglass Ultimate, a Studio-Ready Bass Rig Plugin

Darkglass Ultimate Bass Plugin

Neural DSP has introduced Darkglass® Ultimate, a revamped plugin that they explain brings the Darkglass sound into a “complete, studio-ready bass rig.” It expands on the existing Darkglass Ultra plugin, which models the B7K Ultra and Vintage Ultra preamps, by adding a full signal chain and creative tools. This allows users to go from an initial idea to a finished, record-ready sound with just one plugin, Neural DSP writes.

“With Darkglass Ultimate, we’re expanding the Darkglass sound into something more comprehensive,” said François Barrillon, Lead Product Manager – Plugins, Neural DSP. “For many players, that sound has been a reliable starting point – something they shape around and build on. This release brings more of that process into the same place, so you can experiment, refine, and carry a sound further without stepping outside of it – while preserving the clarity, power, and character that define Darkglass.”

Darkglass Ultimate continues to emulate the B7K Ultra and Vintage Ultra pedals. The signal chain now includes pre-effects (compressor, auto-wah, octave, and fuzz), post-effects (chorus and delay), Darkglass cabinet simulations (DG210C 2×10 and DG810ES 8×10), and a 9-band graphic EQ. Neural also includes tools like transpose, tuner, metronome, and production-ready presets.
