Musician’s Friend Relaunches as Guitar Center’s New Discount Gear Outlet

Musicians Friend Outlet BassGuitar Center has relaunched Musician’s Friend as “an off-price online outlet for premium musical gear.” The new section of their website features overstock, open-box, and excess inventory at discount prices of up to 45%.

“Musician’s Friend works directly with manufacturers to source excess inventory and open-box items, creating a steady flow of fresh opportunities across key categories,” a press release states. “For brand partners, the platform offers a controlled channel to move inventory without diluting full-price distribution through curated presentation, limited quantities, and a managed promotional cadence. For musicians, studios and creators, it provides a dependable outlet experience backed by Guitar Center’s sourcing, fulfillment and customer protections.”

At launch, the site has thousands of items across the entire gear spectrum. There are currently 521 basses listed, ranging from entry-level Epiphones to Fender Custom Shop models to vintage Rickenbackers. There are also 309 bass amps and over 1,500 effects pedals, not to mention all the PA gear, recording equipment, and other instruments. The company says that alongside these outlet deals, many of these products will be included in the Stupd Deal of the Day category.

The new Musician’s Friend is live now.
