Nikki Sixx Finishes New Book, “This is Gonna Hurt”

Nikki SixxMotley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx has finished writing his second book, titled This is Gonna Hurt, which he plans to release on March 22, 2011.

The hardback will be a mix of a photo book and journal, with stories and interviews accompanying the photos to provide background and insight into the Sixx’s work and emotions. His side project, Sixx: A.M., will be recording an album coinciding with the book that will feature songs inspired by Nikki’s photographs.

Sixx’s first book, The Heroin Diaries, chronicles his days of drug addiction at the height of Motley Crue’s fame through diary entries and commentary. It debuted at number 7 on the New York Times Best-Seller List, with the Heroin Diaries Soundtrack by Sixx: A.M. debuting at number 26 on the Billboard rock singles chart.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast.
